NEELUM VALLEY

The attractive Neelum Valley is located to the north-east of Muzaffarabad. Neelum Valley is considered as one of the most attractive areas of Azad Kashmir. The Neelum Valley was named after the Neelum River. Neelum Valley runs along the Kaghan Valley, separated by snowcapped hills that are about 5000 meters above sea level. Neelum Valley is almost 240 kilometers long.  



In recent years, many tourists from all over the world were attracted towards the northern areas of Pakistan especially toward Azad Kashmir, due to its attractive and scenic views and landscapes. If you love nature and its splendid views, then you must visit Neelum Valley once in your life. It's not wrong if we say Neelum Valley a part of Paradise on earth, as it has everything the human eye desires, a relief from everyday stress. The best time to visit Neelum Valley is between March and October because at that time roads are clear, and you can enjoy well there. If you plan to go Neelum Valley after October, then you may face some problems like roads were covered with snow so land sliding may occur.

KERAN 


Keran is a part of Neelum Valley which is 93 kilometers away from Muzaffarabad and is known for its serene flow of Neelum River. There are different hotels there to facilitate and accommodate the tourists.  





UPPER NEELUM 


Upper Neelum is 2 kilometers from Keran and is the most beautiful spot in the Neelum Valley, with an extensive view of the valley. As it is the upper part of the valley from here you can easily see the valley. For the ease of tourists, AJK tourism built compact two-bedroom cottages. 




SHARDA 


Sharda is almost 136 kilometers away from the capital Muzaffarabad, and its stunning location attracts a lot of visitors every year. Sharda also has an interesting history, which awakens the interest of travelers who have visited only once in a lifetime. Sharda offers you a variety of tourists points which you can enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.  





KEL 


Kel is a jeep track which is around 23 kilometers from Sharda and is included in one of the top locations. In Kel you must visit its gold village which is Arrang Kel. The best season to visit Kel is summer because in winter it is almost covered with snow, and you can't experience the ride of jeeps there. 




PATHEKA 


Patheka is the first tourist attraction point after entering the Neelum Valley. It is also known as Neelum Valley business district as it provides tourists with all the necessities of life. Patheka offers different attractive views of the valley. The main path to Patheka is surrounded by towering trees to make its view more attractive and beautiful. 





DHANI WATERFALL 


Dhani waterfall is around 30 kilometers away from Muzaffarabad. Water flow is heavy between March and June every year and drops low from July onwards. If you visit Neelum then you must visit this waterfall. 



RATTI GALLI LAKE 


Ratti Galli Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes of Pakistan. This is an ice lake above 12,130 feet above sea level. Dowarian, a little village in Neelum Valley known for its beautiful view, is a gateway to the lake. The water of the lake is so unique that they mirror the surrounding landscape.
