TAXILA. The remaining historic areas of Taxila are in the modern city of Taxila, which is located about 30 kilometers outside of Islamabad. It may take between 40 and 60 minutes to drive to Taxila from Islamabad, depending on your location and traffic. This makes it a straightforward road journey from Islamabad.
