 SHOGRAN VALLEY 

Shogran valley is almost 229.6 km (about 142.67 mi) away from Islamabad and from Balakot it is 34 km (about 21.13 mi) away. Shogran valley is a part of the most famous Kaghan Valley. Shogran valley is almost 7749 feet (about 2.36 km) above sea level. As it is too much above sea level, so weather is usually cold there. In winter the weather in Shogran valley is very cold because of the winds and heavy snow falls, but in summers the weather is pleasant and sunny but at night the temperature drops. So, whenever you want to visit Shogran first check its weather forecast in detail.

SIRI PAYE (THE GEM OF SHOGRAN) 


Siri Paye is also one of the most important attraction of Shogran Valley. Siri Paye is of the most attractive place of Shogran Valley. Siri Paye is the combination of the two words Siri and Paye. The word “Paye” is derived from Hindko language which means “a ground that brushes up high”. Siri Paye in shogran valley is famous for hiking and horse riding. Many horses are dressed in colorful saddles and tussles stand here and there. You can easily see Marka Peak clearly from Siri Paye.

Horse riding at Siri Paye will give you internal peace and makes you fresh because the wind which you experience while riding horse is a blessing which you never forget. 



Bumpy Jeep Ride to Siri Paye 


As the path towards the Siri Paye is bumpy and dangerous. Heavy stones and irregular dents mark the entire path. You will take jeeps to reach the top of Siri Paye because only jeeps can take you to the top and the same jeep will also bring you back. The jeep ride is thrilling but you can also enjoy it because of the skills of the drivers of jeeps.  



Short Hikes in Siri Paye 


If you like doing hiking's, then you enjoy a lot there because in Siri Paye there are many hiking tracks like if you like to hike then you can reach the top of Siri Paye by doing hiking instead of taking jeep.

If you want to make your trip to Siri Paye more memorable and adventurous, then I suggest you do camping on the top of Siri Paye. Many groups of people do camping to enjoy more.


 


Bonfire In Night 


If you are in your camps, then a bonfire at night is a must as at night the temperature drops, and it is very cold, so to make yourself warm you can make a bonfire there.

Like the valley people there are also very nice. They show a welcoming attitude towards the visitors. They are also very hospitable and make visitors feel at home. Their friendly manner is also very memorable and attractive.

If you don’t like camping, then you can take a hotel. There are different types of hotels there and you can choose any of them according to your requirements and budget.
